The penalty notice offences below are contained in the Road Transport (General) Regulation 2005. They relate to offences under both the Road Transport (General) Act 2005 and the Road Transport (Mass, Loading and Access) Regulation 2005.
> Mass, Dimension and Load Restraint offences for heavy vehicles over 4.5 tonnes (applies to drivers, operators, registered owners/operators):

> Restricted access vehicle offences (eg off route, wrong time and/or insufficient pilot or escort vehicle):
- Class 1 vehicle (low loaders, special purpose vehicles (eg cranes) and agricultural machinery) – breach condition of notice or permit $1191.
- Class 2 vehicle (B-doubles, road trains, car carriers, livestock carriers) – breach condition of notice or permit $1191.
- Class 3 vehicle (other restricted access vehicles that not Class 1 or 2) – breach condition of notice or permit $1191.
