E-Toll pass FAQs

RTA E-Toll pass

From Sunday 8 July, if you are visiting Sydney or only use the Sydney Harbour Tunnel or Bridge occasionally and do not have an electronic tag, you will be able to register for an E-Toll pass.

Each time you use the Sydney Harbour Tunnel or Bridge, your number plate will be photographed and matched to your E-Toll pass registration details. Additional fees apply for using a pass.

You can register for a pass before or up to 48 hours after your trip.

If you use the Sydney Harbour Bridge or Tunnel without a tag or a pass, make sure you travel in the lane marked with the red and white ‘e’ symbol and register for an RTA E-Toll pass within 48 hours or you will receive a toll notice.
