On 28 April 2011, the speed limit on sections of Cargo Road between Cargo and Orange changed.
The new limits were introduced to help reduce the number and severity of crashes, and make Cargo Road safer for all drivers.
Between Cargo and Greening Lane, the speed limit is 90km/h.
From Greening Lane to Orange, the limit is 80km/h.
