Clearer run for buses in the Sydney CBD

The NSW Government’s Sydney CBD Bus Strategy is improving bus travel in the city during peak traffic periods.

As part of this strategy, bus lane operating times in the CBD are being extended in line with increased traffic demands.

From 15 October 2007, peak period bus lane times will generally operate from 6am (30 minutes earlier) to 10am (30 minutes later) and from 3pm (30 minutes earlier) to 8pm (1½ hours later) Monday to Friday.

The new bus lane times will help buses move more people faster, particularly in the morning and evening traffic peaks.
