South West Region

There are no major bicycle infrastructure projects currently being undertaken by the RTA.

The following projects are council based and details are available by contacting the relevant project officer at the following councils:

• Albury - extension of the existing on-road shoulder along both sides of Kaitlers Road from Webb Street to Wagga Road (Hume Highway), Springdale Heights. Construction of a shared use path along the eastern side of Macaulet Street from Bridge Street to Nurigong Street, South Albury. Construction of a shared use path along the southern side of Nurigong Street and the western side of David Street from Macauley Street to Ebden Street, South Albury. Installation of an on-road shoulder along both sides of Olive Street from Ebden Street to Nurigong Street, South Albury. Construction of a shared use path along the northern side of Nuriging Street from Olive Street to Kiewa Street, South Albury. Installation of an on-road shoulder along both sides of Nurigong Street from Kiewa Street to Wodonga Place, South Albury. Review of the Albury Bike plan.
• Balranald - construction of a shared use path along the north western side of the Murray River, eastern side of Cole Street, southern side of Perry Street and the eastern side of Murray Terrace from the new Murray River bridge to Tyrrel Street, Euston. Construction of a shared use path through Crown Land from Tyrrel Street to the Euston Weir, Euston.
• Berrigan - construction of a shared use path from the existing shared use path on the north western side of the Stan Collie Causeway, at its eastern end, back under the bridge and link up with the bridge's south eastern side path, creates an underpass link between Collie Street and Golf Course Road, Barooga.
• Coolamon - construction of a shared use path along the northern side of Loughnan Street from Methul Street to Bruce Street, Coolamon.
• Deniliquin - construction of a shared use path along the south western side of the Edward River and the eastern side of Riverside Road from the caravan park to Hardinge Street (Cobb Highway), Deniliquin.
• Greater Hume - installation of line marking and some minor road shoulder widening for an on-road cycleway along Sladen Street West, Comer Street, Rosler Parade, Ivor Street and Hayes Street, Henty.
• Griffith - construction of a shared use path along the south eastern side of Animoo Avenue from Wyangan Avenue to Kooringal Avenue. Construction of a shared use path along the south eastern side of Kooringal Avenue from Animoo Avenue to the childcare centre, Griifth. 
• Gundagai - construction of a shared use path along the south eastern side of Mount Street from Lagoon Street to Middle Street, South Gundagai.
• Harden – construction of a shared use path along the eastern side of Station Street from Albury Street for 150 metres south, includes a 100 metre link to the Harden Memorial Swimming Pool front gates, Harden.
• Hay - construction of a shared use path along the western side of Pine Street (Dal Wright Park) from Brunker Street to Water Street, Hay.
• Jerilderie – construction of a shared use path along the east side of Bolton Street from the Jerilderie Public School Oval to Jerilderie Street, Jerilderie.  Construction of a shared use path along the south western side of Billabong Creek from Luke Park west towards the mini rail bridge, Jerilderie.
• Junee - construction of a shared use path along: the southern side of Cox Street from Commins Street to the existing pathway in the Peel Street Park, Junee. Construction of a shared use path along: the north eastern side of John Potts Drive from the entrance to the Junee Wetlands to Anzac Avenue, Junee.
• Murray – construction of a shared use path along the central road reserve of Kiely Street from Cobb Highway to Barnes Road, Moama. Construction of a shared use path along the north and east side of Nicholas Drive from Glencoe Boulevarde to the Graham Street Reserve, Moama.
• Murrumbidgee – construction of a shared use path along the back of the properties fronting the northern side of White Street from Ross Street to Chant Street, Darlington Point.  Construction of a shared use path along the southern side of Narrand Street (Kidman Way) connecting the Caravan Park, Lions Park and Boat Ramp under the Murrumbidgee River Bridge to the existing path along northern side of Narrand Street, Darlington Point. Construction of a shared use path through the drainage reserve from Sandpiper Street to the existing path from Currawong Crescent, Coleambally.
• Narranderra - construction of a shared use path along the southern side of Victoria Avenue from Elizabeth Street to Argyle Street, Narrandera.
• Tumbarumba - construction of a shared use path along the southern side of Prince Street from "Albury Bridge" over Tumbarumba Creek to the Tumbarumba Library, Tumbarumba.
• Tumut - construction of a shared use path along the northern side of Broughton Street from Clarence Street to the Racecourse, Tumut.
• Urana - construction of a shared use path along the southern side of William Street from Church Street to the existing crossing at the Urana Central School. Construction of a shared use path along the northern side of William Street from the crossing to Osborne Street, Urana.
• Wagga Wagga - construction of a shared use path along the southern side of the Tatton Drain reserve from Plumpton Road to Lakeside Drive, Lake Albert.
• Wakool - construction of a shared use path along/through the central road reserve/median of Punt Road from the Murray River Walking Track to Gonn Street, Barham.
• Wentworth - construction of a shared use path along the southern side of the Sturt Highway from Burns Street, Gol Gol to Knights Road, Gol Gol.
• Yass Valley - construction of a shared use path from the Warrambalulah Street Bridge (Yass River) to the footpath at the northeast corner of the Grampian Street / Hume Street intersection, Yass.
