Local Road 39 - Willara Crossing Road is closed at Willara Crossing due to flooding in the Paroo River. Willara Crossing is expected to be closed to traffic for the next two weeks. All highways and main roads in the Far Western region remain open.

Locust activity. Swarms have recently appeared in the Coonamble area (between Coonamble, Baradine and Gulargambone, mainly adjacent to the Coonamble-Tooraweenah Road) and have also been reported near Warren (adjacent to the Oxley Highway) and Parkes.
Pavement widening and road realignment work. Between half a kilometre and 8km north of Gulgong. Minor delays and intermittent lane closures expected. Work hours are Monday to Saturday 7:30am - 6pm. Speed restrictions of 40, 60 and 80 km/h. Work is expected to continue until February 2010.
