The southbound bridge will be closed to traffic Monday night to Thursday morning, but the northbound bridge will be open to vehicles, with one lane to be used for northbound traffic and one lane for southbound traffic.
Due to the work, marine traffic will be unable to access the bridge opening from 8pm on Monday 8 February until 5am on Thursday 11 February 2010.

B-Doubles (two trailers) with a destination on the Sydney side of the closure are to enter or exit the F3 Freeway at the Calga Interchange regardless of whether they have originated from the Sydney or Newcastle direction. This will mean B-Double trucks with a destination on the Newcastle side of the closure will be required to use the Somersby exit.
Expected completion is 30 June 2010.
