From 18 May 2009, Mobility Parking Scheme applicants will also have their medical fitness to drive assessed if the RTA has not been notified of any medical condition on their licences. New licence applicants and existing driver licence holders who already hold a Mobility Parking Scheme card may also be asked to provide a medical report regarding their fitness to drive at their next licence application if the RTA has not been notified of any medical condition on their licences.
