Cricket Expos

Thousands of young cricket fans will be invited to learn the importance of road safety at Roads and Maritime Services (replacing Roads and Traffic Authority) SpeedBlitz Blues Expos which will be held again this year at ANZ Stadium and the SCG.  The events are held during Roads and Maritime Services (replacing Roads and Traffic Authority) SpeedBlitz Blues matches in NSW.

In 2010, the Expos provided plenty of fun and excitement for NSW cricket fans.  One of the most popular events was the bowling demonstration where kids were asked to bowl at the wickets as fast as they could; the ball speed was clocked by a radar gun and they were promptly given a speeding ticket. The second bowl was always closer to the wickets as participants were asked to ‘slow down and take control’. The activity was compared to having less control if you speed in a car.

Roads and Maritime Services (replacing Roads and Traffic Authority) will be inviting fans to visit the SpeedBlitz Blues Expos, gain some vital road safety messages and take home some great giveaways for participating.

Stay tuned for more upcoming cricket dates for the 2011/12 season.
