Western Sydney

Roads and Maritime Services (replacing Roads and Traffic Authority) is currently running a series of Slow Down Roadshows at venues throughout Western Sydney. Road safety ambassador and retired NRL legend Hazem El Masri will be attending each of the events to interact with the community and promote the slow down message.

Visitors to the stand will have the opportunity to meet Hazem and get his autograph. Hazem has taken the Slow Down Pledge and is encouraging all visitors to take the pledge on the computers on site.

Upcoming events include:

  • Saturday 30 October - Parramatta Farmers Market. The Slow Down Roadshow will be on site from 8am until 1pm at the markets, held at Parramatta Church Street Mall.
  • Sunday 7 November - Liverpool Bicentenary Festival from 3pm to 8pm.
  • Saturday 13 November Festival of Fisher's Ghost Campbelltown from 10am to 230pm.
  • Sunday 28 November - Community BBQ Campbell Hill Pioneer Reserve Granville from 11am to 3pm.
  • Saturday 11 December - Auburn Farmers Markets from 10am to 3pm.
