Crash barrier - roadside furniture crash testing

Roadside Furniture Crash Testing

There is increasing interest in safety issues brought about by unsafe roadside furniture and the lack of consistent installation specifications.

Because of this interest, the testing of roadside furniture to the relevant international standard (currently US Standard NCHRP 350) is a growing market within Australasia.

Crashlab, can currently perform and conduct testing to Level 3, NCHRP 350, for all the furniture listed below from its current premises:

  • Road and Bridge Barriers.
  • Breakaway & Energy Absorbing Road Signs and Poles.
  • Fences.
  • Median Strips.
  • Boom gates.

Crashlab also has the capability to provide certain further testing up to Level 6 at its off-site facility.

How does your roadside furniture perform in an accident? Does it meet the rigours of international standards? Does it provide an adequate level of safety? Unsure? Contact Crashlab and find how to evaluate your product.
