Road Safety meetings - 29 June 2011

Road safety workshops were held at Hartley and Mount Victoria on 29 June 2011. These workshops followed a road safety review that was conducted on the Great Western Highway between Mount Victoria and Lithgow in 2010.  The review is part of the $30 million safety improvements package for safety works around Victoria Pass and the township of Mount Victoria, jointly announced by the NSW and Australian governments.  The review included opportunities for Roads and Maritime Services (formerly Roads and Traffic Authority) and the community to discuss local knowledge about road safety issues along the Great Western Highway.  A number of other community meetings, workshops and displays have been held since the study was announced in May 2008. You can view or download copies of presentations and notes from meetings and workshops from the project documents page.
