Donald Street at Swan Street, Hamilton
In January 2007 Roads and Maritime Services (formerly Roads and Traffic Authority) completed safety improvement works to the intersection of Donald Street and Swan Street at Hamilton.
Safety improvement works
- Restricting the right turn movement out of Swan Street onto Donald Street in both directions.
- Restricting through traffic movements on Swan Street across Donald Street intersection.
- Provision of concrete islands on Swan Street together with signage and line marking. The concrete islands will provide an additional facility for pedestrians crossing Swan Street.
- Retain the existing travel lanes along Donald Street and the right turn movements from Donald Street into Swan Street in both directions.

- Improved safety for motorists and local residents.
- Enhanced pedestrian safety.
- Improved traffic flow.
