Pacific Highway at Violet Town Road Belmont North, and Floraville Road at Floraville

Background

Roads and Maritime Services (formerly Roads and Traffic Authority) has completed safety improvements to the intersection of the Pacific Highway and Violet Town Road at Floraville.

These works were funded under the Australian Government's Blackspot program and have been developed to address the crash history at this location.

In addition to works at Pacific Highway and Violet Town Road, an upgrade was also carried out replacing the existing pedestrian crossing on Floraville Road at Floraville Primary School with mid block traffic control signals.

These works were funded by the NSW Government to improve safety for pedestrians, particularly school children.

The safety improvements at Violet Town Road were completed on 11 August 2008 and the pedestrian signals on Floraville Road were completed on 21 July 2008.
