Narellan Road to Cobbitty Road
Camden Valley Way upgrade
Work to upgrade the Camden Valley Way between Narellan Road and Cobbitty Road, Harrington Park commenced in August 2010. Construction of the intersection of Camden Valley Way and Cobbitty Road has also commenced by privately funded developers.
Features of proposed road upgrade
- Upgrade from a two lane to a four lane divided road.
- Two metre wide shoulders.
- Vehicle speed limit of 80km/h between Cobbitty Road and Anderson Road.
- Vehicle speed limit of 60km/h between Anderson Road and Narellan Road.
- Off-road shared pedestrian/cyclist path on the western side of the road.
- Adjustments to public utilities such as gas, electricity and telephone services along the route.
- A wide central median between Anderson Road and Cobbitty Road, with landscaping consistent with other upgraded sections of Camden Valley Way.
- Designated turning lanes and bicycle lanes at signalised intersections.
- Bus priority lanes at signalised intersections and indented bus bays on each side of Camden Valley Way.

- Reducing the number of turning movements.
- Constructing a central median.
- Constructing turning bays at intersections.

- Improved access to the M7 and M5 motorways.
- Improved access for road freight in Sydney's south west.

- New bus priority at signalised intersections.
- Improved landscaping.
