Bringelly Road upgrade
Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) is planning for the future upgrade of Bringelly Road in conjunction with the development of the South West Growth Centre.
It is planned to upgrade Bringelly Road from a two lane road to a four and six lane divided road between Camden Valley Way, Leppington and The Northern Road, Bringelly.
A review of environmental factors (REF) and a revised concept design for the widening of Bringelly Road were displayed for community comment in late 2011. To view or download the REF, click here.
RMS has considered all community feedback received during the REF display period. A Submissions Report summarising the issues raised in all submissions and providing responses to each issue is now available from the project documents page.
Background
Bringelly Road is approximately 10 kilometres long and will be one of the principal road links within the South West Growth Centre.
There will be significant traffic growth on Bringelly Road in future years due to residential and commercial development in the South West Growth Centre and nearby areas.

The Austral and Leppington North Precincts (which are both near Bringelly Road) Draft Planning Package was exhibited by the Department of Planning and Infrastructure in November/December 2011.
