Project completed

The electrical and mechanical upgrade work on the Spit Bridge was completed in 2012. Some additional fine tuning may be required on occasions as RMS continues to monitor the operation of the new lift system. This $10.6 million project was fully funded by the NSW Government. It has reduced the potential for traffic delays caused by a breakdown of the lift equipment. The bridge currently opens to marine traffic on a schedule.
