Developer funded projects in Southern Region
There are a number of privately funded road projects currently being constructed within Roads and Maritime Services (formerly Roads and Traffic Authority)'s Southern Region. These projects are being following development consents issued by either the Minister for Planning or local councils.
Although some of these projects are being constructed on and near major state roads, Roads and Maritime Services (formerly Roads and Traffic Authority) is not responsible for delivering or funding of these projects. Roads and Maritime Services (formerly Roads and Traffic Authority) does check designs and issues licenses to private parties working on state roads to ensure residents are notified of changes to traffic conditions and congestion is managed.
Below are locations where privately funded developments are being built on or near Roads and Maritime Services (formerly Roads and Traffic Authority) roads.
