Pambula River Bridge
Project Overview
The $17 million project to replace Pambula River Bridge and its approaches was opened to traffic on 16 March 2008, after a community celebration day.
This project was funded by the New South Wales Government and Australian Government.
Project features:
- A new bridge constructed above the '1 in 100' year flood level.
- Road approaches built above the '1 in 20' year flood level.
- The bridge and road approaches constructed on a new alignment, alongside the existing road, to minimise the impact on nearby properties and agricultural land.
Project benefits
- Safety improvements for road users.
- Better access for motorists with reduced highway closures due to flooding.
