Environmental management of native plants

A number of methods are used to protect native plants including:

  • Avoid impacts if possible.
  • Relocation / rehabilitation.
  • Revegetation using native seed collected from the local area.
  • Where it is not possible to avoid or relocate native plants, the materials are usually recycled as mulch for use in revegetating and erosion and sedimentation controls.
