It delivers substantial benefits to motorists and the local community. 3MB PDFBray to Arthur Street January 2000 The upgrade removed a bottleneck at the northern end of the Coffs Harbour central business district. 2MB PDFBrunswick Heads to Yelgun January 2007 The project incorporates a high standard 110km/h dual lane divided road that improves travelling conditions for motorists and makes access to local towns safer. 3MB PDFBulahdelah to Coolongolook January 1999 The upgrade is separate from the old highway and eliminates 60 bends, including sections through O'Sullivans Gap and Wootton Bends that were know for their poor accident history. 3MB PDFBundacree Creek to Possum Brush January 2006 The upgrade involves two new bridges over the Wallamba River and Pipeclay Creek as well as an overpass that provides access to the village of Nabiac. 3MB PDFCoolongolook to Wang Wauk January 2001 Linking the Bulahdelah to Coolongolook upgrade to the Wang Wauk to Bundacree Creek upgrade, this project improved travel times, road safety and traffic conditions on this section of the Pacific Highway. 3MB PDFCoopernook bypass January 2005 The project involved building a four lane divided road east of Coopernook, with twin bridges over the Lansdowne River and Coopernook Creek. 3MB PDFKaruah to Bulahdelah section 1 January 2006 Starting north of the Karuah bypass to Viney Creek, the Karuah to Bulahdelah section 1 upgrade removed a section of the Pacific Highway that was poorly aligned and a well known blackspot. 3MB PDFKaruah bypass January 2004 Passing through spectabular bushland, wetland and open pasture, the Karuah bypass crosses the Karuah River to the west of the old highway. 3MB PDFLyons Road to Englands Road January 2001 Starting at the southern end of the Coffs Harbour area, the upgrade improves traffic flow and enhances the safety of this busy section of the Pacific Highway. 3MB PDFRaleigh deviation January 1998 The upgrade provides dual carriageway between the Kalang River near Urunga and Pien Creek State Forest, south of the Bonville upgrade. 3MB PDFTaree bypass January 2000 Built east of Taree, the bypass cut travel times by approximately 10 minutes and the overall distance of the highway by 4.5 kilometres. 3MB PDFRaymond Terrace to Karuah January 2000 A new northbound carriageway was built to the west of the old highway and the old highway was reconstructed to provide the southbound carriageway. 3MB PDFYelgun to Chinderah January 2002 The upgrade bypasses the Burringbar Range, which was a notorious blackspot. 3MB
