The Pacific Highway between Coffs Harbour and Ballina currently covers a distance of 209 kilometres. When upgraded it will have a length of 203 kilometres.

Currently there are:

• 15 kilometres of four lane divided highway.
• 32 kilometres of four lane divided highway under construction.
• 6.5 kilometres being prepared for construction of four lane divided highway.
• 163 kilometres of four lane divided highway being planned.
