Banora Point community

The Banora Point project team works with the community and stakeholders to understand values, issues and concerns. Our aim is to minimise the effects construction may have on local residents.

You can find our site office east of Darlington Drive roundabout, Banora Point. The site office includes:

  • A full-time community relations team to answer your questions.
  • A community display centre containing the latest project information and updates.

Community involvement

  • A project information line has been established, so you can speak to members of the project team during business hours.
  • Regular community updates will give you information on the developments.
  • Local advertising in your area will also tell you about the project.

The project team will continue to meet with a number of community and stakeholder groups associated with the project.

These groups include:

  • Tweed Shire Council.
  • Aboriginal focus group.
  • Business focus group
  • Community highway group
  • Emergency services group.
  • Environmental review group.

Community information sessions

The project team regularly talk to people in the wider community.

Community information sessions, along with other community group meetings, are held monthly to provide updates on the design and construction process.
