Waterfall Way

The Waterfall Way is an important route connecting the seaboard and Coffs Harbour district with the coastal hinterland of the Bellingen area, the tablelands of Dorrigo, Armidale and beyond.

Current projects

Roads and Maritime Services is carrying out a range of important projects on Waterfall Way in 2012 including planning investigations and work in the following sections:

  • A new project from Pacific Highway to Connells Creek, which will include improvements in the vicinity of Cameron's Corner. Click for details.
  • A new project from Fernmount to Burdett Park.
  • Repairing landslips after heavy rain fall at Newell Falls.
  • Reconstructing the Waterfall Way west of Dorrigo.

A community update containing the details of the 2012 projects is available on the project documents page. Works to repair past landslips at Sherrard Falls and Gordonville Cutting have been completed.  Roads and Maritime Services has completed road alignment improvements at Achill Station Road, 40km east of Armidale.

While temporary traffic controls and reduced speed limits are in operation, motorists are asked to obey all signs and directions to help ensure the safety of workers and other road users.

We thank local residents and motorists for their patience during these important projects.
