Roads and Maritime Services (formerly Roads and Traffic Authority) invited submissions from the community between 18 July and 26 August 2011 on the Timber Truss Road Bridge Strategy. 

Roads and Maritime Services (formerly Roads and Traffic Authority) is now preparing a submissions report to the Heritage Council on the issues and perspectives raised by the community. 

The Heritage Council will then conduct its own advertised public consultation and seek public comment regarding the proposed listing and delisting of bridges on the State Heritage Register.  The Heritage Council will make a recommendation to the Minister for Heritage.  The final decision rests with the Minister.
