Great Western Highway upgrade at Bullaburra
The upgrade of the Great Western Highway through Bullaburra is being carried out in two sections:
Bullaburra East
Ridge Street, Lawson to Genevieve Road, Bullaburra.
Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) is widening the existing two lane highway to a four lane, divided highway between Ridge Street, Lawson and 400m west of Genevieve Road, Bullaburra.
The $75 million upgrade contract has been awarded to Seymour Whyte Constructions. Work on the upgrade will start in early 2013 and completion is expected in 2015, weather permitting.
This project is fully funded by the NSW Government.
Bullaburra West
Genevieve Road, Bullaburra to Tableland Road, Wentworth Falls.
As part of the Great Western Highway upgrade, RMS is widening the existing two lane highway to a four lane, divided highway between 400m west of Genevieve Road, Bullaburra and Tableland Road, Wentworth Falls.
The $85 million construction contract was awarded to Daracon Contractors and work on the upgrade began in early 2012. Completion is expected in early 2014, weather permitting.
This project is fully funded by the NSW Government.
