Parramatta to Macquarie Park bus priority - Bus corridor 9
Bus priority works have been implemented on bus corridor 9, which links Parramatta with Macquarie Park.
The works are helping to improve the efficiency and reliability of bus services and improve the flow of general traffic.
Works completed
- Providing bus priority on Pennant Hills Road northbound on approach to Jenkins Road intersection, Carlingford.
- Providing bus priority in Pennant Hills Road southbound on approach to Marsden Road intersection, Carlingford.
- Improving the bus stop at the intersection of Pennant Hills Road northbound and Carlingford Road, Carlingford.
- Providing a traffic queue bypass and early start bus signal in Epping Road eastbound on approach to Delhi Road intersection.
- Converting eastbound and westbound T3 AM and PM kerbside lanes of Epping Road to 24 hour bus lanes between Crimea Road and Balaclava Road.
- Extending the double right turn in Epping Road westbound at the Herring Road intersection.
- Widening the off-load ramp of Epping Road westbound to Lane Cove Road.
- Providing a traffic queue bypass and early start bus signal in Epping Road at the Balaclava Road intersection.
What happens next?
Create a northbound bus lane in Balaclava Road, Marsfield between Agincourt Road and Epping Road.
Extending right turn bays in Epping Road westbound on approach to Balaclava Road intersection.
