Bicycle Projects

Northern region

For the 2010/11 financial year these bicycle provisions are being made in the following projects:

Stage 2 construction of a shared use path along the Scholes Street corridor from Link Road to Harden Street, linking via the existing New England Highway underpass, Armidale.

Stage 1 construction of a shared use path along the northern side of Skennars Head Road and the eastern side of North Creek Road from the Coast Road to Amber Drive, Lennox Head.

Construction of a shared use path along the northeastern side of Brooms Head Road and Diamond Street from Armstrong Road, Gulmarrad to Jubilee Street, Townsend.

Construction of a shared use path along the southeastern side of the Pacific Highway from Englands Road, North Boambee to Isles Drive, Coffs Harbour.
Stage 1 construction/installation of a) a shared use path along the southern side of Coffs Harbour Creek from Bakers Road to Loaders Lane; 2) mixed traffic lanes along both sides of Brindley Court, Goodenough Terrace, Loaders Lane and Shephards Lane from the Bringley Court cul-de-sac to Coffs Harbour Creek; 3) a shared use path along the southern side of Coffs Harbour Creek from Shephards Lane to Tulipwood Close; and 4) mixed traffic lanes along both sides of Tulipwood Close and Red Cedar Drive from Coffs Harbour Creek to Robin Street, West Coffs Harbour.

Construction of a shared use path along the western side of Wandobah Road from Lincoln Road to McAndrew Park, Gunnedah.

Construction of a shared use path along the southern side of Ballina Road (Bruxner Highway) from the Kellas Street underpass to Rotary Drive, Lismore.
Construction/widening for a shared use path along the southern side of Ballina Road (Bruxner Highway) from Jubille Avenue to Rous Road, Lismore.

Stage 2 construction of a shared use path along the western side of the New England Highway from Humble Street to the Willow Tree Public School, Willow Tree.

Design development of a shared use path along Woodburn Evans Head Road - stage 1 Riverside Village to Evans Head.
Construction/widening of the existing paths to shared use paths along both sides of the Bruxner Highway from the Irving Bridge to Gays Hill, Casino. Tamworth Regional - construction of a shared use path along the southwestern side of the New England Highway from Crawford Street to Rotary Park, East Tamworth.

Construction of a shared use path along the eastern side of Keith Compton Drive from the current southern end of the path at Solander Street south to the Island Drive roundabout, Tweed Heads.
Design development of a shared use path (Boardwalk) along the southern side of Kennedy Drive from Boyd Street to 50 metres west of Second Avenue, Tweed Heads
