RFS awarded National Prequalification

February 2011

RFS has been awarded national prequalification certification for projects up to and including $50million.

AUSTROADS, the association of Australian and New Zealand road transport and traffic authorities tasked with improving road transport outcomes, has created a national accreditation system for the prequalification of construction and maintenance industry suppliers in Australia for companies tendering for contracts.

In September 2010, RFS submitted their application for national prequalification, which involved a rigorous process of documentation preparation and reporting covering a range of requirements in order to illustrate capabilities, systems and safety compliance.

Given RFS's extensive experience and history of high-quality project management within the construction and maintenance industry, AUSTROADS issued prequalification to RFS on 22 January 2011 within the following categories;

  • R4 (Roadworks)
  • B3 (Bridgeworks)
  • A2 (Asphalt Paving)
  • T (Protective Treatment)
  • F50 ($50M)

"Gaining National Prequalification for projects up to $50million expands RFS's ability to compete on the open market and I look forward to meeting the challenges of continuing the commercialisation of the RFS business as we look to the future" Greg Evans, Group General Manager, RFS said today.
