National prequalification (National Prequalification Scheme)

Road & Fleet Services was awarded national prequalification on 20 January 2011. We hold the following grades:

R4 (Road works), B3 (Bridge works), A (Asphalt production and paving), T (Technical coatings).

Federal Safety Commission

Our safety management system is certified to Australian Standard AS 4801 and accredited to the Australian Government's Building and Construction OHS Accreditation Scheme, administered by the Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner (OFSC).

RFS was the first government organisation to be accredited to the scheme, on 16 April 2008. Our accreditation was renewed on 2 August 2011.

International Standards

RFS is certified to international standards ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.

PCCP (LM)

PCCP (PC)

PCCP certification (Painting Contractors Certification Program)

RFS Bridge Services and Linemarking hold PCCP certification (Painting Contractors Certification Program) for, respectively, lead-paint removal and paint application.

Bridge Services has held PCCP Certification since 2004.

In 2008, RFS Linemarking achieved certification in the new category ‘Pavement marking’ and was the first organisation to be certified in the category.

Prequalification to Roads and Maritime Services (formerly Roads and Traffic Authority)

RFS has been a prequalified contractor to the RTA since 1999. In addition to National Prequalification (which replaces our RTA prequalification) we hold the following prequalification grades:
