Proof of registration entitlement documents prove how a vehicle came into your possession or management. The registered operator of the vehicle may or may not be the owner.
You must provide these documents to:
- Register a vehicle.
- Transfer registration of a vehicle.
If you are registering the vehicle in the name of a person who is not listed in the Proof of Entitlement documents, you must provide the relevant entitlement document and a letter of authorisation detailing the name and address of the person to be recorded as the registered operator.
You must provide ONE of the Proof of Entitlement documents

| Court order - from finance company | For repossessed vehicles acquired by finance companies as a result of court action. | Original |
