Conditional Registration is available for vehicles that do not comply with Australian Design Rules. Types of eligible vehicles for Conditional Registration are attached.
If you are not sure whether your vehicle meets the required standards, please contact Roads and Maritime Services (replacing Roads and Traffic Authority) Technical Enquiries Service on 1300 137 302. Approval of Conditional Registration is to be considered on an individual vehicle basis. Information contains in the vehicle sheets serves as a guideline only.
