Roads and Maritime Services (replacing Roads and Traffic Authority) undertakes strategic traffic volume surveys on a three year repeating cycle, that covers the whole of NSW by region.
These regions are Sydney, Southern (including Wollongong), South West, Northern, Hunter (including Newcastle), and Western.
Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT) data is available free of charge for the following years and Regions by using the link below.
1996, 1999, 2002, 2005 - Sydney, Western
1994, 1997, 2000, 2003, 2006 - Southern, South West
1995, 1998, 2001 - Hunter, Northern
