Renew or transfer your registration
It's easy to renew your rego online. Safety checks are sent to Roads and Maritime Services (replacing Roads and Traffic Authority) electronically and most new vehicles will not need an inspection until they are over five years old.
To transfer registration online you will need to set up an online account and have the seller of the vehicle submit a Notice of Disposal".

For registration transfer, payment can only be made by credit card.

Motor vehicle emissions are the main source of air pollution in urban centres and the fuel they burn is a major contributor to climate change.
The DriveGreen calculator was developed to encourage NSW drivers to counteract their carbon emissions and drive green through the purchase of a wide range of carbon offsets. It calculates the amount of greenhouse gases that are emitted from your car each year.
