Content refers to the combination of numbers and letters that appear on number plates. There are three types of content you can choose from: Standard, Personalised or Personalised plus.
Customise your content
Remember, you can use numbers for letters. This can help you create a word (or even a phrase) that may otherwise be unavailable. Use the letter options and example content in the chart as a guide.

The letter/number combination is automatically generated by the RTA. Standard content letter/number combination varies by plate style. |

Personalised |

You can choose your own letters and numbers from the range of combinations available. With a little creativity you can tell the world almost anything. |

Personalised Plus |
 |
If you want the “WOW” factor this is for you. It gives you the greatest freedom to personalise your plates. Choose a combination of letters and
numbers up to six characters for cars and five characters for motorcycles, including at least one letter (excluding the letter I and the letter O
so your plates are not mistaken for a number only.

Numeral only content |

They can have up to six numbers, but these plates are only available at RTA auctions or through private sale. Keep an eye on the RTA home page for
announcements on the next available auction.
Personalised Plus and Numeral only plates are the only content option plates that may be sold privately.
