The HVIS is an annual roadworthiness inspection scheme. Most classes of NSW registered heavy vehicles require a HVIS inspection. All inspections are carried out by the RTA’s vehicle inspectors.

The Heavy Vehicle Licence Enquiry System (HVLES) allows RTA-accredited heavy vehicle operators to confirm the status and class of an employee or contractor's NSW driver licence. If you wish to join the HVLES please register your expression of interest.
Online National Heavy vehicle accreditation (NHVAS) application
The online National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation (NHVAS) application allows operators to apply for or renew Mass, Maintance and Fatigue accreditations.
