Helping learner drivers become safer drivers

Free workshops for parents and supervisors of learner drivers are being conducted around NSW. The workshops offer parents and supervisors practical advice on how to help learner drivers become safer drivers.

The course covers topics such as how to use the Learner Driver Log Book, how to plan driving sessions, how to deal with difficulties that may arise during driving practice and the importance of giving the learner constructive feedback.

For further information regarding workshops being conducted in your area call the RTA on telephone 13 22 13.

Practice drives planner

There are now two planners available which supervisors and parents can use with learner drivers to plan on-road driving experiences. The monthly or weekly calendar-style planners can be put up on the fridge or on the wall, so that everyone gets a reminder to negotiate dates and times for practice drives.
