Summary
This Guide has been produced to assist new drivers, their parents and tutors to understand the new licensing scheme and the special conditions that apply to new drivers in New South Wales.
The new licensing scheme will require a progressive improvement in skills for new drivers to move from a learner licence through a two-stage provisional licence to the full licence level.
On Monday 3 May 2004 the legal alcohol limit in NSW for all learner and provisional (P1 and P2) licence holders became zero.> More information about zero alcohol limit
