Emissions TAFE course

Emissions TAFE course

Roads and Maritime Services (replacing Roads and Traffic Authority) sponsors a free TAFE NSW course designed to give practical measures to reduce heavy vehicle emissions. The course is designed for truck owners, drivers and operators, diesel mechanics, fleet and workshop managers.  All participants will receive a TAFE NSW Certificate of Attendance.

The course provides information about the impact of diesel emissions on the environment and offers practical advice on the steps you can take to reduce the level of pollution from your diesel engine.

The course also informs attendees about how to join Roads and Maritime Services (replacing Roads and Traffic Authority)’s Clean Fleet Program.  Participants in this program may be eligible for the Australian Government’s fuel tax credit for heavy vehicles.

The ‘Diesel Emissions Awareness Training’ is an initiative of the New South Wales Government under the Australian Government’s National Environmental Protection Measure for diesel vehicles.

The four hour course is either a morning or evening session and is available at these TAFE NSW colleges:

  • Wetherill Park.
  • Kurri-Kurri.
  • Shellharbour.
