You have a right to access information that Roads and Maritime Services holds about you.
The most common type of request for personal information is for driver licence, motor vehicle registration details, or for information about traffic offences, class of licence, date of issue, renewal payment details and demerit points which have been accrued by a person.
You may obtain a copy of your personal information held by RMS either online at myRTA.com or by lodging RMS Form ‘Request for Information’ form (Form 1046) at a motor registry or by post or interstate from:

The prescribed fee is currently $20 (clause 175 and Schedule 1 of the Road Transport (General) Regulation 2005).
Should you require a certified copy of this information, the fee is currently $27 (subclause 103(3) and Schedule 3 of the Road Transport (Driver Licensing) Regulation 2008).
However, if you require copies of specific documents, or wish to obtain information about another person, you may wish to make an access application under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA Act).
