This is a joint Federal and State funded project.

This is a Quality Assurance contract.

Tenders are invited from pre-qualified contractors at Bridgeworks Class BX and Roadworks Class RX. In addition, the contractor or any Sub-Contractor will require prequalification B20 or higher for Voided Slab Bridge construction, B10 or higher for all other Bridge construction, RX or higher for Road construction, CC for prestressed girder manufacture, SC for Steel Truss Bridge manufacture, K10 for concrete paving and A10 for asphalt surfacing works.

The earthworks, drainage, traffic control, soil conservation service and formworks components of the work must be carried out by contractors registered with the RTA in Class E, D, G, S and F respectively or pre-qualified for roadworks and or bridgeworks as applicable.

The Primary Testing of the works (including sampling) must be carried out by contractors registered with the RTA in Class L2.

This work involves construction of a bypass of Bulahdelah including earthworks, drainage, pavement, noise and retaining walls, signposting and linemarking, landscaping, other miscellaneous works and the construction of 12 bridges.

All Tenderers must comply with the NSW Government Code of Practice for Procurement.

The National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry in accordance with the Australian Government Implementation Guidelines reissued 1 August 2009, apply to this project.

Tenderers may purchase tender documents for $55 per set (including GST) from the website https://tenders.nsw.gov.au/rta. Please note that documents will be supplied in electronic format on CD.

Two pre-tender meetings and a site inspection will be held at a date, time and location to be confirmed. Attendance is mandatory to submit a conforming tender. Tenderers purchasing the documents will be advised of the full details of the meeting.
