Only approved concrete mixes must be used on Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) projects.
These mixes have been reviewed for compliance with the associated RMS specification by nominated RMS staff and approved for use if they conform to the specification.
This register contains summary details for each RMS approved concrete mix, including concrete strength, details of the supplier and concrete plants from which the mix may be obtained.
The approval will normally apply for three years after approval unless the constituents of the mix, which includes their source, change.
For a specific RMS project, RMS's Principal Representative for the project will have access to the full approved mix submission details, and can verify from test reports required to be submitted during the project that the concrete being supplied conforms to the conditions of approval.
