Western Region
Summary
Western Region is responsible for an area extending from Mt Victoria to South Australia and Cowra to Queensland representing about 54 per cent of the land area of the state and provides a single point of contact for the 28 councils in the region.
The Region interacts with councils in the following areas:
- State Roads – Road Maintenance Council Contracts
- Regional Roads – Block Grant Agreement, REPAIR Program, Regional Roads Timber Bridge Partnership
- Road Safety & Traffic Management Programs
- Traffic Committees
- Regional Consultative Committee
