Sydney Region
Summary
Sydney Region is responsible for the greater metropolitan area and provides a single point of contact for the 40 Councils in the region.
The region reviews and manages the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the RTA and Councils in the Sydney Region. The MOU provides a management procedure for the RTA and Councils to follow for all Council projects funded fully or in part by the RTA. The MOU applies to projects funded under -
- Road Safety Programs
- Cyclists Programs
- Pedestrian and Urban Amenity Programs
- Regional Roads REPAIR Program
Sydney Region also manages information and funding under the Block Grant Agreement and also provides liaison between RTA and Councils.
