Hunter Region

Summary

Roads and Maritime Services (replacing Roads and Traffic Authority) Hunter Region manages approximately 320 kilometres of national network, 1050 kilometres of State roads and provides assistance to local councils for 1370 kilometres of Regional Roads. It is also responsible for maintenance of 648 bridges and 400 traffic signals, over 14 state electoral districts and 14 local council areas.
In 2010/11 Roads and Maritime Services (replacing Roads and Traffic Authority) is scheduled to deliver more than $616 million of work, including $422 million for network development, $145 million for network maintenance, $26 million for road user safety, $22 million for traffic management.

Cessnock, Greater Taree, Port Stephens, Dungog, Lake Macquarie, Singleton, Gloucester, Maitland, Upper Hunter, Gosford, Muswellbrook, Wyong, Great Lakes, Newcastle.
