Hunter Region
Summary
RTA Hunter Region manages approximately 320 kilometres of national network, 1050 kilometres of State roads and provides assistance to local councils for 1370 kilometres of Regional Roads. It is also responsible for maintenance of 648 bridges and 400 traffic signals, over 14 state electoral districts and 14 local council areas.
In 2008/09 RTA is scheduled to deliver more than $330 million of work, including $117 million for network development, $147 million for network maintenance, $15 million for road user safety, $45 million for traffic management and $7 million for vehicle regulations.
