You can change your address with Roads and Maritime Services (replacing Roads and Traffic Authority) online, by telephone or by visiting a motor registry.
Online
Customers who hold a NSW driver licence or NSW Photo Card and have less than 6 vehicle registrations can change their residential or mailing address online.
To update your address online you must provide your:
- Surname
- Driver licence number or NSW Photo Card number
- Roads and Maritime Services or Roads and Traffic Authority card number (located above your photo on your driver licence)
- Vehicle registration number(s) if any
- Phone number and email address

If you want to change your address by telephone, call 13 22 13.
Alternatively, you can visit a NSW motor registry and change your address in person.
To change your address by telephone or in person you must provide your:
- driver licence number or NSW Photo Card Number
- family name and given name(s)
- date of birth
- address(es) currently recorded with Roads and Maritime Services
- To change your address for motor vehicle registrations must provide:
- registration plate number(s) for their vehicle(s)
- family name and given name(s)
- address currently recorded by Roads and Maritime Services for their vehicle(s).
