Remove 'S' lane, implement tidal flow

Proposed works

Remove ‘S’ lane configuration on the approach to Murdoch Street, Spofforth Street and Belmont Road.

Implement tidal flow to operate during the afternoon peak between 3pm and 7.30pm. 

Benefits

Delays will be reduced for buses and general traffic heading in the northbound direction during the afternoon peak hours.

Progress

These works are scheduled to approximately start in mid 2010 and be completed by mid 2012.
