The Minister for Planning approved conditions of approval for four sections of the Hume Highway duplication worksfrom Sturt Highway to Holbrook on the 25 July 2007 The conditions include requirements for monitoring, assessment, reporting and consultation when undertaking works. These conditions also include monitoring and compliance requirements for noise and vibration during construction and provide guidance on the processes required for community involvement and environmental management.
In accordance with the project’s conditions of approval, a range of Environmental Management Plans have been prepared for the construction phase of the project. These plans detail the environmental safeguards that will be implemented during the course of the project construction. The plans also include the mitigation measures to be implemented to manage the potential environmental impacts that construction works may have on the surrounding environment.
