Hexham to Bulahdelah
Bridge work will take place on the southbound Hunter River bridge at Hexham. Temporary traffic control will be implemented from Monday 8 to Thursday 11 (7.30pm to 5.00am night) involving traffic diversions to the southbound lanes. Minor delays will be experienced. Alternatively, motorists travelling to the Newcastle CBD may wish to proceed via the Stockton Bridge (along Tomago Rd, Cabbage Tree Rd, Nelson Bay Rd, Stockton Bridge, & Industrial Drive).
Graffiti and/or vegetation management work will take place at the following locations. Some minor delays will be experienced with temporary traffic control implemented (6.30am to 3.30pm) involving reduced speed limits, shoulder and/or lane closures:
- Hexham to Heatherbrae (7km nth of Hexham) on Sunday 7 & Thurs. 11;
- Raymond Terrace (10km north of Hexham) on Wednesday 10; and
- Nerong (7 to 13km south of Bulahdelah) on Tuesday 9 & Wednesday 10 (9.00am to 2.00pm).
Bulahdelah to Taree
Construction work will take place for the Bulahdelah Bypass (2 to 4km north of Bulahdelah). Temporary traffic control will be implemented from Monday 8 to Saturday 13 (7.00am to 6.00pm) involving reduced speed limits, shoulder and lane closures with intermittent stoppages. Minor delays will be experienced.
Pavement maintenance, embankment stabilisation, safety barrier, road marking and/or vegetation management work will take place at the following locations. Some minor delays will be experienced with temporary traffic control implemented (6.00am to 6.00pm) involving reduced speed limits, shoulder and/or lane closures:
- Bulahdelah Freeway (northbound 4km nth of Bulahdelah) from Wednesday 10 to Friday 12;
- Bulahdelah Freeway (3 to 25km nth of Bulahdelah) from Sunday 7 to Friday 12 (6.00pm to 6.00am night); and
- Coolongolook (47km south of Taree) to Taree from Tuesday 9 to Friday 12.
Power line work will take place at Wang Wauk (35km south of Taree). Temporary traffic control will be implemented on Tuesday 9 (9.00am to 3.00pm) involving a reduced speed limit, shoulder and lane closures with intermittent complete stoppages. Minor delays may be experienced.
Taree to Kempsey
Construction work will take place between Coopernook and Herons Ck (25 to 58km north of Taree). Temporary traffic control involving reduced speed limits, shoulder and lane closures will remain in place from Monday 8 to Sunday 14. Intermittent stoppages will take place from Monday 8 to Thursday 11 (6.00am to 5.00pm). Minor delays will be experienced.
Vegetation management work will take place between Telegraph Point and Kundabung (17 to 28km south of Kempsey). Mobile traffic control will be implemented from Monday 8 to Thursday 11 (7.00am to 5.00pm). No delays are expected.
Pavement maintenance, guidepost, road marking, survey and/or vegetation management work will take place at the following locations. Minor delays will be experienced with temporary traffic control implemented (6.00am to 6.00pm) involving reduced speed limits and lane closures with only one lane alternately available at some locations:
- Taree Bypass (southbound 0 to 6km north of Taree) from Monday 8 to Wednesday 10;
- Taree Bypass (Cundletown OverPass 6km nth of Taree) on Monday 8 (6.00pm to 6.00am night);
- Taree Bypass to Coopernook (6 to 24km north of Taree) from Tuesday 9 to Friday 12; and
- Coopernook (25km north of Taree) to Sth Kempsey on Monday 8 and Wednesday 10.
Kempsey to Coffs Harbour
Pavement maintenance, resealing, road marking, traffic counter and/or private development work will take place at the following locations. Temporary traffic control will be implemented (6.00am to 6.00pm) involving reduced speed limits and stoppages with only one lane alternately available at some locations. Motorists should provide an additional 15 minutes travel time as considerable delays may be experienced:
- Kempsey to Coffs Harbour from Tuesday 9 to Friday 12;
- Clybucca (19 to 22km north of Kempsey) from Tuesday 9 to Friday 12;
- Eungai to Warrell Ck (8 to 19km south of Macksville) from Mon. 8 to Sat. 13. All vehicles in excess of 3.8m. wide are required to contact 0439 600 783 at least one (1) hour prior to reaching the site;
- Macksville (51km north of Kempsey) from Monday 8 to Friday 12; and
- Nambucca Heads (10km north of Macksville) on Tuesday 9 (9.30am to 3.00pm).
Vegetation management work will take place between Macksville (53km north of Kempsey) and Bellwood (just south of Nambucca Heads). Mobile traffic control will be implemented from Tuesday 9 to Friday 12 (7.00am to 5.00pm). No delays are expected.
Bridge work will take place at Cedar Creek (3km north of Nambucca Heads). Temporary traffic control will be implemented on Monday 8 (9.30am to 3.00pm) involving a reduced speed limit and lane closures with only one lane alternately available. All vehicles in excess of 3.8m. wide are required to contact 0417 212 098 at least one (1) hour prior to reaching the site. Minor delays will be experienced.
Coffs Harbour
Road marking and/or vegetation management work will take place at the following locations. Some minor delays will be experienced with temporary and mobile traffic control implemented involving reduced speed limits, mobile shoulder and/or lane closures:
- Sawtell Road to Englands Road on Thursday 11 (10.00am to 2.30pm);
- Englands Road to Cook Drive on Wednesday 10 (10.00am to 2.30pm); and
- Englands Road to Combine Street on Sunday 14 (6.00pm to 6.00am night); and
- Bruxner Park Road to Old Coast Road on Tuesday 9 (10.00am to 2.30pm).
Coffs Harbour to Grafton
Construction work will take place at Glenugie (12 to 21km south of Grafton). Temporary traffic control will be implemented from Wednesday 10 to Saturday 13 (7.00am to 6.00pm) involving reduced speed limits, shoulder and lane closures with intermittent stoppages. Minor delays will be experienced.
Pavement maintenance, safety barrier, signage, public utility and/or vegetation management work will take place at the following locations. Minor delays will be experienced with temporary traffic control implemented (7.00am to 5.00pm) involving reduced speed limits and lane closures with only one lane alternately available at some locations:
- Coffs Harbour to Dirty Ck Range (17km north of Woolgoolga) from Tuesday 9 to Friday 12;
- Moonee (northbound 11km north of Coffs Harbour) on Tuesday 9 and Wed. 10 (9.30am to 2.30pm);
- Halfway Creek (27km south of Grafton) on Tuesday 9 and Wednesday 10; and
- Glenugie (14km south of Grafton) on Thursday 11 and Friday 12.
Grafton to Maclean
Vegetation management work will take place between South Grafton and Tyndale (12km south of Maclean). Mobile traffic control will be implemented from Monday 8 to Friday 12 (7.00am to 5.00pm). No delays are expected.
Pavement maintenance and/or safety barrier work will take place at the following locations. Minor delays may be experienced with temporary traffic control implemented involving reduced speed limits and lane closures with only one lane alternately available:
- Clarenza (2km north of Grafton) on Thursday 11 and Friday 12 (9.30am to 3.00pm); and
- Shark Creek (4 to 6km south of Maclean) on Tuesday 9 and Wednesday 10 (7.00am to 5.00pm).
Maclean to Ballina
Pavement maintenance and/or safety barrier work will take place at the following locations. Minor delays may be experienced with temporary traffic control implemented (7.00am to 5.00pm) involving reduced speed limits and lane closures with only one lane alternately available:
- Maclean (43km north of Grafton) on Tuesday 9 and Thursday 11;
- Mororo (15km north of Maclean) on Friday 12;
- Woodburn (34 and 38km south of Ballina) on Tuesday 9 and Wednesday 10; and
- Wardell (14km south of Ballina) on Tuesday 9.
Bridge work will take place at Clarence Rvr, Harwood (5km north of Maclean). Temporary traffic control will be implemented on Wednesday 10 and Thursday 11 (7.00am to 4.00pm) involving a reduced speed limit and lane closures with only one lane alternately available. All vehicles in excess of 3.5m. wide are required to contact 0409 580 298 at least one (1) hour prior to reaching the site. Minor delays will be experienced.
Construction work will take place at Rileys Hill (26 to 32km south of Ballina). Temporary traffic control will be implemented from Tuesday 9 to Saturday 13 (6.30am to 5.00pm) involving reduced speed limits, shoulder and lane closures with only one lane alternately available. Minor delays will be experienced.
Construction work will take place for the Ballina Bypass (4 to 6km south of Ballina). Temporary traffic control involving reduced speed limits, shoulder and lane closures will remain in place from Monday 8 to Sunday 14. No delays are expected.
Ballina
Construction work will take place at the intersections with of Kerr and Fox Streets, and North Creek Road (North Ballina). Temporary traffic control will be implemented from Monday 8 to Friday 12 (7.00am to 5.00pm) involving reduced speed limits, shoulder and lane diversions. All vehicles in excess of 3.5 m. wide are required to contact 0419 473 939 at least one (1) hour prior to reaching the sites. Some minor delays may be experienced.
Ballina to Queensland State Border
Vegetation management work will take place between Ballina and Bangalow (26km nth of Ballina). Mobile traffic control will be implemented from Mon. 8 to Fri. 12 (7.00am to 5.00pm). No delays are expected.
Construction work will take place for the Ballina Bypass (4 to 13km north of Ballina). Temporary traffic control will be implemented from Monday 8 to Friday 12 (6.30am to 5.30pm) involving reduced speed limits, lane closures and/or short term stoppages with only one lane alternately available. Blasting operations with closures in both directions will take place at Cumbalum (6 to 9km north of Ballina) on Thursday 11 (1.00pm to 1.30pm). Motorists should provide an additional 15 minutes travel time as considerable delays will be experienced.
Pavement maintenance, tunnel maintenance, safety barrier and/or vegetation management work will take place at the following locations. Minor delays may be experienced with temporary traffic control implemented (7.00am to 5.00pm) involving reduced speed limits and lane closures with only one lane alternately available at some locations:
- Cumbalum (5km north of Ballina) from Monday 8 to Wednesday 10 (9.30am to 3.00pm);
- Cumbalum (8km north of Ballina) on Monday 8;
- Tyagarah (34 to 37km north of Ballina) on Monday 8 and Tuesday 9;
- Tandys Lane (40km north of Ballina) on Wednesday 10;
- Chinderah Bypass (8km south Qld Border) on Thursday 11 & Friday 12 (9.30am to 3.00pm);
- Tugan Bypass Tunnel (northbound 3km sth Qld) from Mon. 8 to Thurs.11 (5.00pm to 5.00am night);
- Tugan Bypass Tunnel (3km sth Qld) to Qld on Saturday 13 & Sunday 14 (7.30pm to 5.00am night).
