Bulahdelah upgrade

Welcome to the website for the upgrading of the Pacific Highway at Bulahdelah. The upgrade of the Pacific Highway at Bulahdelah will involve the construction of approximately 8.6 kilometres of four lane divided road with an eastern bypass of the Bulahdelah township.

Final approval has been granted for the Bulahdelah upgrade. The Chief Executive of the RTA determined on 2 October 2007 that the construction and operation of the Bulahdelah upgrade could proceed subject to the conditions set out in the approvals of the NSW Minister for Planning and the Commonwealth Minister for Environment and Water Resources.

Early works have commenced south of the Myall River as the first stage in the construction of road embankment in this area. For more information see the early works page.

The  community interest group has been formed to facilitate community input into the project during the detailed design and construction phases of the project.

This project is jointly funded by the NSW and Australian governments.
